01 About Embroidery

Embroidery in Cornwall

Embroidered Logos for Cornwall Businesses

Embroidery gives a smart, professional finish that holds up well with regular wear and washing. It works best on polo shirts, jackets, softshells, caps and similar garments where a clean, raised logo makes a strong impression. It suits businesses that want their staff to look consistent and professional. Simpler logos and text embroider particularly well. Send us your artwork and we'll tell you whether embroidery is the right fit.

Send us your logo and a rough idea of what you need. We'll check it's suitable and advise on thread colours and garment options before we quote.

How it works

The Embroidery Process

Not sure if your logo is suitable for embroidery? Send it over and we'll check before we quote.

Artwork Check

We review your logo for suitability. Simpler logos and text work best. We'll let you know before anything is agreed.

Logo Digitising

Your logo is converted into an embroidery stitch file. A one-off digitising fee of £25 applies if you don't already have a digitised file. The file is then yours to use on future orders.

Thread Colours

We match your brand colours from a standard thread range and confirm these with you before stitching begins.

Production and Finish

Garments are embroidered, trimmed and quality checked. We confirm timelines and keep you updated through the order.

Common questions

Embroidery FAQs

What is embroidery and how does it differ from printing?

Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the fabric using thread. It gives a raised, textured finish that is durable and looks smart on polo shirts, jackets and caps. It is different from print methods such as DTF or screen printing, which apply ink or transfer film to the surface of the garment.

What types of garments can be embroidered?

Many fabric garments can be embroidered, but not every item is suitable. Common choices are polo shirts, T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, softshells, fleeces, caps, beanies and aprons. If you are unsure about a specific item, send us the details and we'll advise before quoting.

Is embroidery suitable for my logo?

Embroidery works best with simpler logos and text. Very fine detail or gradients can be difficult to reproduce well in thread. Send us your artwork and we'll check before we quote.

Is there a minimum order for embroidery?

In many cases, no. The right minimum depends on the garment type and logo complexity. Send your details and we'll advise before quoting.

What artwork file do I need for embroidery?

Send a high-quality PDF, PNG or vector file. We use this to assess suitability and create the stitch file. If you only have a low-resolution file, send it anyway and we'll advise.

Can you match my exact brand colours?

We work from a standard thread range and will get as close as possible to your brand colours. We confirm thread colours with you before production begins.

How long does an embroidery order take?

Turnaround depends on the garment type, quantity and complexity of the logo. Let us know your deadline when you enquire and we'll confirm what's possible.

Do you supply the garments as well as embroidering them?

Yes. We usually supply the garments ourselves. This helps us choose clothing that is suitable for embroidery and makes replacements easier to handle fairly if there is a production issue. We do not usually embroider customer-supplied garments.

Is there a digitising fee?

Yes. If you don't already have a digitised embroidery file for your logo, a one-off digitising fee of £25 applies. The file is then yours to keep and use on any future orders.
